The services provided through this website are intended exclusively for individuals aged eighteen (18) years or older. By using this website, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that all information displayed on the website (including prices, room descriptions, and services) is accurate, complete, and up to date. However, we are not liable for errors arising from automated systems or reliance on third-party websites or links not under our control.

2.3 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload or transmit harmful or malicious content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the website's functionality

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website in case of violation of these Terms.

3. Booking Terms & Conditions

3.1 Prices & Taxes

All prices displayed on the website include Value Added Tax (VAT).

Climate Crisis Resilience Tax:
A mandatory tax imposed by the Greek Government (formerly the overnight stay tax) is payable by the guest upon check-in.

  • Charged per room, per night
  • Amount depends on the official star rating of the hotel
  • Indicatively, for a 4-star hotel: €10.00 per night (April-October)

This tax is not included in the online room price and will be added to the final bill.

3.2 Reservations & Payment

Contract Conclusion:
A binding booking contract is formed once you receive written confirmation (via email) from the hotel after submitting your details and completing the required payment or deposit.

Deposit:
A deposit of up to 50% of the total reservation value, or the cost of one night's stay, may be required to secure the booking.

Payment Methods:
We accept:

  • Credit and debit cards (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Maestro)
  • Bank transfers
  • Cash payments at the hotel
  • Cash payments are accepted for bills below €500, in accordance with Greek law.

Guaranteed Accommodation:
Penelope SA guarantees the availability of the room category booked. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we will provide alternative accommodation of equal or higher standard at no additional cost, including reasonable transfer expenses.

3.3 Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Right of Withdrawal (Distance Contracts):
Under Greek consumer law, a 14-day right of withdrawal applies to online services unless the service concerns accommodation provided for a specific date or period. As hotel stays fall under this exception, the hotel's cancellation policy applies.

Special Rates:
Promotional offers, discounted rates, or non-refundable bookings may be subject to stricter cancellation or no-show terms. These conditions will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

3.4 Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in: From 15:00 on the day of arrival
  • Check-out: By 11:00 on the day of departure

Late Check-out (subject to availability):

  • Until 18:00 (6:00 PM): 50% of the daily room rate
  • After 18:00 (6:00 PM): Full daily room rate

4. Guest Obligations & Hotel Liability

4.1 Guest Conduct

Guests are required to behave responsibly, respect other guests and hotel staff, and comply with all hotel rules. Inappropriate behavior may result in immediate eviction without refund.

4.2 Damage

Guests are liable for any damage caused to rooms, furnishings, or hotel property by themselves or their visitors. The hotel reserves the right to charge the guest's credit card accordingly.

4.3 Valuables

Guests are strongly advised to store money and valuables in the in-room safe. Hotel liability for loss or damage to personal belongings is limited in accordance with the Greek Civil Code. The hotel is not liable for losses caused by force majeure events (e.g., earthquakes, fire) or guest negligence.

4.4 Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms and indoor public areas of the hotel.

4.5 Pets

Pets are generally not permitted; however, they may be accepted under specific conditions in compliance with Greek animal welfare legislation.

5. Data Protection & Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, available via links in the website footer. By using this website and making a booking, you consent to such processing.

6. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Greek law. Any disputes arising from these T&Cs or your stay at Hotel Dorion shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Athens, Greece. Amicable settlement, negotiation, or mediation is encouraged where possible.

Penelope SA reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version applicable at the time of booking shall prevail.
